India V/S Sri-Lanka - 1st T20

 

India beats Sri-Lanka and take a 1-0 lead in the 3 match T20 series, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was declared Man of the Match.

India was put on to bat after loosing the toss and lost Prithvi Shaw on the first ball of the innings. Captain Dhawan steadied the ship first with Samson and then with Surya Kumar Yadav.

SKY went on to make a half century for India, but despite that India only managed to put on 164 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wickets. Chameera and Hasaranga both took 2 wickets each for Sri-Lanka.

Sri-Lanka started their inning well with 20 runs in 2 overs but were stopped first by Krunal Pandya and then Chahal took the wicket of Dhananjaya with a beautiful leg-spinner.

Asalanka was the only player who looked in touch for the Lankans, continuing his form from the one-dayers. But Deepak Chahar brought India back into the game in the 16th over taking 2 wickets in the over, followed by a great spell of death bowling by Vice Captain Bhuvi. India go 1-0 up in the 3 match T20 series.
