India vs Srilanka ODI Series Review

India beat Sri-Lanka 2-1 in the 3 match ODI Series and yet again proves that no Indian side can be overlooked in any format of the game.

India sealed their first win by restricting Sri-Lanka for a low score in which the Chinaman bowler played a vital role and was followed by some explosive batting from Prithvi Shaw along side the Captain Shikhar Dhawan and SKY.

In the second ODI, Sri-Lanka managed to put a decent score and also managed to take 5 quick wickets and pushed India to the backfoot. But the cool duo of pace bowlers first steadied the innings first and then wen on to win the match for India. Bhuvi being the senior partner played a sensible innings and stayed at the crease with Deepak Chahar who smashed his maiden half century in style and helped India to win the 3 match series.

India went on the field with five debutants in the 3rd ODI. But Sri-Lanka managed to not only restrict India for a low score but also, they chased the total down very comfortably and managed to avoid the white-wash.

With a lot of positives coming from the series, the form of Prithvi Shaw was one of the key point to be noted, which also adds to the problem of plenty at the top of the order that the Indian team is already having. With Surya proving his worth once again in Indian colors, he might be the one to be chosen ahead of the likes of Manish Pandey, who, given plenty of chances, yet again failed to play a big innings. Ishan Kishan also played his part in the 2 matches and was looking in sublime form.

In the allrounders department, with the return of Hardik Pandya the bowler might help Indian team in the future. He looked a little rusty but can do much more with the ball in hand with a bit of match practice.

From the bowling group, Kuldeep and Chahal who played together after the 2019 world cup were the ones to look for along with the Vice captain Bhuvi who also was returning from injury.

First win for Rahul Dravid as the Coach of Indian team and wish him many more to come in the future.
